The hotel is around a 15 minute walk from Huaraz's main Plaza de Armas, in a quieter part of town. Taxis to the city centre generally cost 3-4 soles. Emilio was incredibly kind and attentive. He picked me up from the bus station in the morning and arranged my weekend tours to Chavín and Laguna 69. He even got up at 5:30am to help me find the tour group heading to Laguna 69 early.

It's clean and affordable, with hot water and decent WiFi. The kitchen is sufficient, and the hostel is quiet and feels safe, though a little far from town. Emilio, the owner, keeps the place in great shape and helps with trekking plans. Highly recommend.
