The bed was comfortable, and the hot water and pressure were just right for me. Great value, too. Walter was a real gentleman and even walked me to my tour bus at 5am.

Walter was a real help with walks and activities, giving reliable advice and taking the initiative. He’s especially good if you’re a walker, including if you want something more challenging. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable with thick blankets, and there’s a small balcony and a good shower. It’s a basic bed and breakfast, but has what you need for a pleasant stay and is good value. Though it’s on the edge of town, the center is only a short trip away.

For 50 soles a night, breakfast was included: scrambled eggs, bread, butter, jam, tea, and coffee. My room had a double bed and private bathroom with hot water, and the place was very clean with excellent service. You can get to the center of Huaraz on foot in about 15 minutes. There’s also a shared kitchen and dining area for guests.

Hot water and parking are available, and the place is wonderfully calm. The snow-capped mountains make for stunning views.
