The dune trip was unforgettable. We rode out in a traditional buggy, stopping for views of the Huacachina oasis, sand tubing and boarding, and the sunset. At camp they welcomed us with wine and hors d’oeuvres, then we had delicious chicken or steak for dinner by the fire pit. The tents are simple but roomy, with comfortable mattresses on the floor. In the morning they take you back to the office for breakfast and a chance to shower. We spent our final night in Peru at Duna Camp, and it was a perfect end to our trip. The staff were all friendly, especially Duna, the camp dog. The office has a small bar and lots of bathrooms and showers for when you return from the dunes the next morning. Leave most of your luggage at the office, where they'll store it safely, and bring just a backpack or small suitcase to the dunes. We loved it, a real bucket list experience and a trip highlight.

The food was impeccable, the camping felt decadent, and those showers the next morning were a real oasis in the desert. Book a private driver for the dune buggy tour and ask him to drive like a maniac, it's worth it. I even contacted Google hoping they'd reprogram the whole system to let me give Duna Camp Huacachina six stars. Skip the trip and you're missing an evening in what can only be described as gritty heaven. Sebastian was the best. Pro tip: pack wet wipes.

Waking up to sunrise in the desert after ending the day with a great meal was priceless. Such a memorable adventure, with beautiful scenery. The accommodation was comfortable, and the people were great too.

From the dune buggy and sand boarding to the camp itself, the whole experience went beyond what we expected. Huge thanks to all the staff and crew who helped make this once in a lifetime adventure happen. Anyone coming to Peru should add it to their itinerary 💕

The sand activities were so much fun, and the tents were clean and roomy, staying warm through the night. Dinner was delicious too. This was a trip highlight, definitely a must if you're in Huacachina.
