The rooms were roomy, with private bathrooms, LED TVs, and mini-fridges, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a typical Peruvian spread: jams, avocado, white and yellow cheeses, olives, ham, plus tea or coffee. We also found the taxi service good and safe for getting around the city. The location is a real plus. The hostel is in Santa Beatriz, in the Cercado de Lima district, just across from Parque de la Reserva and its beautiful water circuit. The advertised city tours weren't available, apparently because management had changed, so we took them ourselves with Mirabus. Wi-Fi was also down for two days. Apart from those issues, everything was fine.

It’s very cheap and fairly clean, with a good location and the basics needed for a business trip. There was a lot of noise during my stay, though, from people drinking inside the hotel.

I'd been a regular customer and had always received excellent service, so coming back five days ago to find new owners was a shock. My wife and friends got a damp room with torn, stained towels. When I asked to change rooms, the receptionist was playing strange music loudly in the lobby and said he wasn't going to wash the towels twice. He refused to replace them. The service needs to improve. It's a shame, because we'd gotten used to the Camelias.

The place is clean, reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly. There are lots of places nearby, and the location is especially convenient if you're going to a concert at the National Stadium. Good service too.

Flor is a great host, and she's also on Airbnb. The place and surrounding area are peaceful, and the rates are super affordable for a medium or long stay.
