Rumi Wasi Hospedaje

Irma went out of her way to make breakfast for us at 4am before our train to Macchu Picchu, which made our stay so pleasant. The place is beautiful, right in the heart of Ollantaytambo, surrounded by culture, mountains, and wonderful people. I'll definitely stay here on my next visit. Amazing!

The rooms are beautiful and very clean, and the young man at reception was sweet and well mannered, presumably the owner's or operator's child. The location is excellent, but the service was terrible and the showers were cold. At 80 soles, you can find better places, or something equivalent nearby for 50-60 soles. Our shower was cold at night. They said they'd fixed it, but it was still cold in the morning. When I explained, the manager said it wasn't their problem because they just work there, and the owner wouldn't want to hear from me. Light from the hallway came into our room until around midnight. We could hear everything from reception downstairs, including loud voices until midnight. In the morning, guests needing staff had no phone number, so they called out for 10-15 minutes before anyone came, and we could hear it all. If the water temperature is sorted, you stay upstairs, and you don't have any issues needing the manager's attention, it's a good place. If you must stay, go upstairs!

The room was big and cheap, with a private bathroom and balcony, and the deal included breakfast with avocado, cheese, bread, jam, and butter. The place, built with stone, was beautiful and felt typical. The owner was so nice and friendly, helping with our luggage and finding excursions. But I found the room quite cold and the toilet wasn't perfectly clean. I struggled to sleep because of the cold, so I asked for an electric heater, which they brought straight away.

The beds were comfortable, and the sheets and bathroom were clean. The location was great, and the place felt clean and unique. The owner was a lovely lady. I really liked it and totally recommend it.
