That cold beer at the end of the day was especially good after someone had carried it along the 3 km jungle trail, across the lake by canoe, and up the stairs to Casa Sandoval. We spent one night there during a five-day trip with JunglePro, and the lake and scenery were almost magical. Getting there meant a 3 km hike over a wooden boardwalk and then a canoe ride across Lake Sandoval. The place had what we needed, everything was clean, the food was excellent, and our hosts were very kind. The whole trip was well planned and run. My fiance and I couldn't have asked for better, and I'd recommend this local tour company.

A quiet place to leave life's stress behind and get a peaceful night's sleep.

The meals were a pleasant surprise, and the place was reasonably clean. The rooms themselves are very basic, with no airtight separation from the room next door. The owner barely communicates with visitors.

The lake is strikingly clear, with spectacular sunrises and sunsets, especially compared with the muddy water of the Madre de Dios River. On walks through the jungle and boat trips around the lake, we saw lots of animals and learned a little about them. We went with JunglePro and were very happy with their professional service. The staff were friendly, the food was good, and the accommodation was comfortable and practical. It isn't a luxury lodge, but everything was in good shape, with a hot shower, a comfortable bed, and a decent bathroom. A wonderful experience.

Casa Sandoval was a really pleasant place to spend the night, with clean beds and a good meal that included dessert. JunglePro had the whole trip perfectly organized around finding animals. Our French-speaking guide was lovely and knew his stuff.
