Hotel Posada de los Reyes

They let us check in early in the morning and served breakfast at 6am when we left. Nice hotel and great service.

The staff are very friendly, and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast is hearty, too. The only issue was the hot water, though it just took turning the knob. Heating costs an extra 10 soles and helps a little, but Puno's climate is extremely cold. If you want to sleep without feeling cold, you'd be better off looking for a hotel, though it'll cost twice as much as the lodging.

The rooms felt spacious and comfortable, with lovely windows and lighting that was much better than in other hotels I’ve stayed at. Everything was impeccably clean, and the bathroom had plenty of room, all the essentials, and a shower with just the right pressure and reliable hot and cold water. Wi-Fi worked very well too. What stood out most was how personal and friendly the service was. They were very willing to help with a few small problems I ran into. I’d also seen someone claim breakfast wasn’t included, but it was. There was a really full spread, from tea, coffee, yogurt, cereal, bread, butter, jam, cheese, olives, and fruit to American-style items like scrambled eggs. There were other things too, though I can’t remember them all. Of all the cities I visited in Peru, this was the most comfortable place I stayed.

The rooms are large, and you can borrow electric heaters for free. Breakfast was decent, too. The owners were especially friendly when helping us. There usually wasn’t anyone in the lobby, so checking in or out could mean waiting.
