The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, and the price seemed reasonable for a place with air conditioning. It's about two blocks from the main square. Plenty of nearby hotels have the same features for half the price, but only offer fans. I tried one of those on my first night, and it was the only bad part of my Tarapoto visit. It's an oven there, day and night, my friends.

I paid 80 soles for a night in this small, clean hotel. The room faced the street and, though small, was a nice place to stay. It had the basics that mattered to me, air conditioning and Wi-Fi, plus hot and cold water. There were a few service issues: the small windows above the room door were broken, and the AC leaked. Checkout time is enforced strictly. My tour ran late, so I arrived half an hour past checkout, and they wanted to charge me an extra 50% of what I'd paid.

I arrived tired after making a reservation, only to be told the hotel was sold out. That was very rude. The service was bad, and the place felt tiny and poorly located, like a hostel for a brief stopover.

The rooms were comfortable and clean.

The beds were infested with dust mites, and I ended up having to see a doctor. The service was terrible.
