I got food poisoning after eating meat at the restaurant that didn’t seem fresh, and the food there is extremely overpriced. The neighbors’ music was also extremely loud until 3 a.m. The place itself is beautiful, with a pool, nice rooms, and stylish atmosphere, but the staff weren’t very friendly or helpful.

The food was good, breakfast was quite alright, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms are good and the pool is quite nice, but the street is very noisy, especially with traffic on the steep hill. Pool music was also far too loud all day. The billiard table was out of balance and its equipment was half broken. If the steep street and traffic noise don’t bother you, it’s a good place to stay.

The food was delicious, the room spacious, and the pool nice, with beautiful staff. The jungle theme suits Tarapoto, though it does mean there are a lot of mosquitoes, so bring repellent. Not a bad option for a quick crash.

Casa bosque is far enough off the main path to relax, while still close enough that getting to the action is a quick drive. My room was nicer and bigger than I expected, and the bed and sheets were great. Having AC made a world of difference after a day exploring the jungle. The staff know their stuff and are friendly, and they have plenty of options if you need a last-minute tour. I’ll definitely stay at casa bosque again on my next trip to tarapoto.

The pool and shared spaces were great, and the food was awesome. My room was clean, the staff friendly, and the shower had hot water. There’s a lot of potential here.
