Hacienda La Florida

We only stayed one night, but I really enjoyed it and would happily return. The property is wonderfully tranquil, and we got an incredible tour of the grounds and animals from Carlos the caretaker. Inge the owner is very kind and makes guests feel welcome, and the staff are lovely too. I'd definitely recommend it.

Pepe and Inge were great hosts, and the breakfast and dinner were both very good. I stayed here with a group for two nights in November 2013. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water. It's a remarkable experience to stay in this very old hacienda, said to be one of the oldest in the country.

A special thanks to Ela, who was always available to answer questions and was efficient and indispensable. Don Pepe and señora Inge welcomed me so warmly. They're lovely, kind, attentive owners of a beautiful place. I'd recommend it to anyone curious about local culture and keen to talk with genuine people who live in this wonderful paradise.

I loved the garden, the animals, and the countryside at Hacienda La Florida in Tarma. We went hiking and visited Huagapo cavern, and the breakfasts were delicious, with all sorts of homemade products. We also bought some of their honey and sauco jam. It's a great place to experience the Andes atmosphere, plants, and wildlife. Say hi to Inge and Pepe for me!
