Waking up at Inti Punku Valle Sagrado Hotel was unforgettable. We arrived after dark, so I didn’t really see the place until morning. Opening the curtains to those mountain views, lovely gardens, and peaceful surroundings felt like waking up in heaven. Even the walk across the grounds to breakfast made me smile. Our room was spacious and tucked into a small building with only three rooms. We shared just one wall with another couple, so it felt quiet and private. It was one of the most memorable places we stayed on our trip, and one of my favorite stays ever. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere scenic and peaceful.

The rooms are huge, and the beds were clean and comfortable. Dinner was good too. But a few things took away from the stay. Two windows in our room were cracked, and we had to tape them up. The bath and shower area smelled a bit and needed the grout redone because of damp and mould. Breakfast had all the expected items, but the quality wasn’t good. The dining room was cold at night, and even the wait staff wore coats. One note: the complaint below about toilet paper misses that bathrooms in Peru require you to put used paper in a bin.

Stay away. This was the worst hotel, a piece of crap, and I wouldn’t stay there even if it were free. It felt like a 2-3 star place, and that’s me being generous. You can’t flush toilet paper, so you have to put used paper in a garbage can. Totally unacceptable. Exoticca recommended it, and I regret the choice.

Set on a hill, the hotel is spread across several buildings. The rooms are quaint, spacious, and very nice. There’s a market and a pizzeria within 100 ft.

The grounds at Inti are magnificent, as the photos show. Guest rooms are in small, two-story buildings with four rooms in each. The food deserves five stars, and Anabel and Walter were especially helpful. The one drawback for me was having to put used toilet paper in the garbage can.
