Hotel Don Bartolo

The rooms were good and the location was okay, but service at the restaurant was painfully slow. We’d been sitting there for about 1 hour and 20 minutes before our first meal finally arrived.

The reception staff were lovely. They managed with my very broken Spanish, and one even came out into the rain with us to find a taxi. Breakfast was nice too. The hotel turned out much better than we expected, and we’d happily recommend it. Card payment took about five seconds, the invoice arrived by email straight away, and there was no commission. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a huge bed, fluffy sheets, a nicely decorated bathroom, and air conditioning. The big TV was a letdown since it only had Spanish programs. It was rainy season and cold outside, so the sheets were especially welcome. The one real problem was the hot water, which barely trickled out and was only a little warmer than body temperature. I think there may have been pressure trouble while we were there. Even with that, it was one of our best hotel stays in Peru over the past two weeks. Good job!

The street was quiet, the price was great, and the staff were friendly. I loved the stay, especially the huge, cozy bed and big windows. The hot shower was lovely too.

Everything was good. The hotel is in a quiet spot, though a bit far from Central. My room was clean, with a hot shower, parking, and fast Wi-Fi. Steve Australia 🇦🇺
