A cozy hotel with good service. The staff did a good job. Highly recommended. 👍

It’s disappointing that this still happens. We were racially discriminated against because we aren’t Korean, which soured an otherwise good stay, apart from a shower drainage issue. We’re Singaporean international guests and stayed four nights. A sign at the front desk offered free transport around the area. When we checked in, we asked about the airport transfer listed there and were willing to pay. Local staff said it could be arranged by asking the front desk when needed. They also told us we could use the free drop-off service to the few places listed on the sign. Two days later, we asked for a ride to Balibago, pointing to that same sign. Mr. Oh (Hotel Halo VP) promptly told us free drop-offs were only for Korean guests because they paid a “premium price”. We didn’t see evidence of that, and the restriction wasn’t mentioned on the sign, website, or third-party booking sites. He was extremely rude and questioned whether our reservations had derailed the service. When we tried to explain that the front desk staff had promised the drop-off at check-in, he cut us off after “no..but”. Exasperated, he pushed us toward his Filipino staff, saying drop-off was a separate department from front desk operations. They were happy to take us on the 5-minute ride, but he immediately interrupted and reprimanded them. We understand wanting to look after your own, since the hotel is Korean-owned. If it were a small BnB that couldn’t afford to provide the service to everyone, or if we were abusing it, that would be understandable. We’d even eaten at their overpriced restaurant twice, yet were still turned away for racial reasons. Filipino staff said this often happens to local guests too. If you’re Korean, we highly recommend staying here. It’s clean, the local staff are faultless, and Mr. Oh will likely accommodate your needs. Otherwise, we suggest taking your business elsewhere, lest you ruin your stay with an experience like this.

Easy to get to, with accommodating staff. The poolside garden is a lovely, relaxing spot, and the ambience is great. Breakfast comes with generous espresso drinks.

The warm-hearted Boss owns and manages the hotel. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a 2nd home while visiting the nearby places. 😀
