Imerex Plaza Hotel

The room was tidy, clean, and nice. I would've rated the stay higher if service had been better. You have to ask reception for the Wi-Fi code, and breakfast wasn't consistently included, even though the poster in our room said it was free. The advert also promised a view, but our room didn't have any windows.

The carpets in the hallways were visibly dirty, like they weren't vacuumed regularly, and the reception staff weren't friendly or approachable. After our tiring motor ride from Bolinao, Pangasinan, we hoped to relax, but the air conditioner in our first room didn't work. The next room had an extremely noisy air conditioner, so we asked to move again. It took until the third room to get one that worked properly. We'd also been told on arrival that the larger room we preferred was fully booked, so we got a smaller one. The condition of the rooms was a letdown too. It was our first stay at Belajandro Hotel, and we expected better from management. All those problems left us with a very bad first impression and made the stay disappointing. It felt like room maintenance and management were poor, and we wouldn't recommend the hotel.

The shower had very weak pressure, and the TV remote was missing its batteries. We were also left without towels or bottled water when we arrived, though those were supposed to be included. After three calls to reception, we kept hearing that the items would arrive shortly. Night came and there were still no towels, so we went down to the lobby ourselves. At first we were told none were available and we'd have to wait until morning, which was unacceptable. Then they suddenly said towels were available. It felt as if we wouldn't have gotten anything without complaining in person. Frustrating and disappointing service, and I don't recommend the hotel.

We arrived at 1:30 PM and didn't get our keys until 3:35, after a two-hour wait. A conflict with their third-party booking partners meant many guests had their confirmed online reservations cancelled. Luckily, ours wasn't one of them, but the long wait needs to be addressed. They could at least offer some complimentary perks while guests wait. This recurring problem needs attention, or they'll keep receiving bad reviews.
