The staff were nice and accommodating, and I have no other concerns. My issue is the early check-in policy, which came up on both visits. On the first, after a long trip, I arrived before the standard 2:00 PM time and was told there'd be an extra fee, even though the room was ready. On my second visit, I expected a charge and didn't ask for early check-in, but was offered entry 30 minutes before the official time and still waited almost an hour. Compared with other hotels, it felt less smooth than it should. When a room is available, letting tired guests check in early without a fee would make the experience more comfortable. I hope management considers being more flexible.

The location is convenient, and the staff were polite and accommodating. The setup also looks nice and has potential, but the rooms need more consistent upkeep and deep cleaning. Our room felt stuffy, with visible moisture or mold on the ceiling, and the bathroom had even more mold around the tiles and walls. There were no toiletries or slippers ready when we arrived. For the rate, the cleanliness and comfort weren't what I expected. We did arrive a little early, and I understand there's an extra charge for early check-in. I hope this feedback helps Urbanview Hotel Bacolod improve, because better cleaning and room preparation could make it a comfortable option for travelers.

It's affordable and close to the capitol, restaurants, shops, and a mall, but the stay was inconvenient enough that we left after the first night of a planned four-day, three-night booking. We got no apology or concession from the staff. Parking is a small area in front, shared with Chef and Bakers, so spaces are limited. There's no elevator, and the rooms feel cramped and dim, with some lacking a fridge or having small, poor-quality windows. The bathrooms have no ventilation or soap, and some ceilings have mold. Our room felt enclosed, with weak cellphone reception. Wi-Fi was often intermittent or unavailable, so we had to go outside to get a reliable connection and contact nearby services, including a car rental. It's cheap, but based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend it unless price is your only priority and you're willing to accept those downsides. If you still consider staying, ask about rooms with better ventilation, a fridge, and a larger window for natural light. Check mobile coverage and ask about reliable Wi-Fi before booking.

The Wi-Fi was worse than the weak phone data signal in the room, reaching only 50-300 KB per second, so it was basically useless. The nearest outlet to the bed was across the room behind the TV, and the bathroom had no exhaust, a moldy door, and no shower curtain. The floor was dirty when I arrived around 8 pm, with what looked like paw prints and dried mud. Since it was late, I usually try to be patient about this kind of thing, so I left it for room service in the morning. At 9 am I hung the “please make up my room” sign on the door. I returned at 7 pm and it was still there, and the room hadn't been cleaned. When I called the front desk, the staff member kept saying the cutoff was 4 pm and asking whether I'd told the desk. I said the sign was on the door, and that the house rules didn't say we also had to notify the front desk. That's not how it works at most hotels unless the extra step has been explained. I asked them to add it to the rules, and the call ended with “we'll do better next time.” Big nope. This was my third stay, and likely my last. I've read other negative reviews describing the same problems. Please address them.

The bed was comfortable, the staff were accommodating, and the location was good. I also appreciated not hearing traffic from outside. But the room seemed as if it hadn't been used for a while, and for the price it didn't feel worth it. The towels were worn, the light was dim and flickering, the pillows didn't smell fresh, and there was an unpleasant smell from the shower. The faucet and bidet were rusty, and banging sounds from a nearby door or somewhere else were disturbing.
