Thunderbird Resorts - Rizal

We celebrated my wife's birthday there. The room was clean, quiet, and nice, and service was excellent. The pool was awesome and clean. I also had a fun gamble experience with staff who were experienced and accommodating. My vehicle had some serious transportation issues, but the maintenance people who were there sorted them out. I really appreciated that. Strongly recommended for anyone to join there.

The rooms were spacious enough, and the stay was okay overall. The atmosphere was pleasant, and staff were generally friendly and accommodating. Still, the property feels dated and needs better maintenance. Room conditions and cleanliness were inconsistent, with some facilities showing wear. Food was average and didn't seem worth the price. It's an acceptable place to stay, but there’s room to improve, especially for the cost.

We had a pleasant, quiet weekend with friends, and often felt like we had the place to ourselves. It does feel a bit dated, though. The AC needs some maintenance, the larger pool was closed while we were there, and there's a small step outside the room that's hard to see and should be marked more clearly for safety.

We paid for two nights at Thunderbird Resorts Binangonan, but left early and skipped breakfast on the second day. It was easily the worst hotel stay we've ever had, a whole mix of neglect and poor management. We'd pay money to avoid staying there again. Save your sanity and cash, you'd sleep better in your cars. Getting there was stressful. It's far from the main road, and the drive up felt terrifying with no streetlights, like a horror movie. Heavy traffic made the arrival even worse. For $100/night, the property is falling apart. The exterior is worn down, and the "Casino" felt low-class and more depressing than a depressing casino. We booked their most expensive room, the "Premium" Balcony Room, but it was a disaster. The closet had punch holes, the shower drain was clogged and flooded the bathroom, and most alarming, the balcony door wouldn't lock from inside. We didn't feel safe. Check-in was unprofessional, with one staff member juggling several jobs. The pool wasn't available, so why even call it a resort? Breakfast was underwhelming too, served in that same dingy casino lounge.
