Country Village Hotel

The restaurant staff were friendly, which is the only reason I’m giving this place one star. The rest of the experience was awful. We couldn’t begin check-in at 1:50, then still didn’t get into our rooms until nearly 3 because other people were in them. The front desk was poorly run, and there’s no elevator for luggage going up to the third floor. The pool was dirty, with trash and food in and around it, mold, and loose wires where kids could grab them. I’m pretty sure there was feces by the edge too. The rooms and bathrooms were old and moldy. Brown water came from the faucet, and flushing the toilet made the whole room smell like rotten eggs. I’m also pretty sure the water would fail an inspection. We asked the front desk about corkage and were told it was okay because we were guests. Then they tried to charge us 6k. We put a mattress on the floor so our baby wouldn’t fall, forgot to put it back before leaving, and got charged 500. We never made a scene or complained about the rooms, water, or pool, but they were quick to charge us. We just wanted to swim and relax with our kids, and it was a terrible experience. I’d never recommend this hotel to a family. It’s far enough from the city center that dealing with all these problems makes no sense. Stay far away.

We booked through agoda and stayed four nights, but barely got any rest. People yelled from about 11 pm until 5 am every night. We later found out there were basketball and tennis courts above the third floor where our room was, and games went on nearly all night. There’s also an Irish pub next door, though I’m not sure it was really a pub or mostly a food place. Most of the food wasn’t available, apart from oven pizza. The pool was full of rubbish and smelled bad around the area. Our room also had an unpleasant smell, and there didn’t seem to be enough staff to look after the property. Breakfast was canned food, with only three choices and no fresh food, so it wasn’t worth it. The night staff weren’t helpful and seemed unwilling or afraid to ask people to quiet down. We came to sleep and relax, but the noise kept disturbing us. We’re travelers from the USA 🇺🇸, Australia 🇦🇺, the United Kingdom 🇬🇧, and France 🇫🇷, and felt unwelcome and unsupported. The stay was stressful. Unless management changes how the place is run, I can’t recommend it. Give it a try if you want, up to you.

The pool is nice, but the service overall was disappointing. The TV is outdated and extremely laggy, and the Wi-Fi was weak and unreliable. For what the amenities and service are like, the room rates feel overpriced.

The pool is lovely, but it isn’t maintained well. The rooms are moldy and full of bugs. If you book breakfast with your room on Ag@&a online, they cheat you out of it. Don’t go here.
