Malajog Leisure Park Resort Hotel

For an expensive resort, it doesn’t feel worth the price. The bathroom sink had no running water, and the shower had no water heater. The shower room was dirty and disgusting. It felt like every little thing at this "Hotel" came with a charge. The WiFi was poor too, and we had no internet connection on our last day.

We only stayed because this was the sole resort or hotel in the area that accepted pets. The staff were friendly, and that policy earns the one star. At P1800, the room had a double bed, small TV, and AC, but the bathroom smelled like a public restroom. There’s no restaurant inside the resort, though they do have some kind of partner restaurant. They also asked for a Php100 deposit, which I couldn’t get back at checkout because we had to leave at 5AM and no receptionist was around. If the rate had been under a thousand pesos, I’d have rated it higher.

We asked about eating and swimming, and they put us at a nearly collapsing table by the pool. When we asked about the prices, all we got was “later, later.” Then came the surprise when we left: 350P for the table, 95P each for entrance, and 100P for one person to swim. Nearly 750P for nothing. The adobo was fatty and the worst, too. Never again, avoid this place!

It’s a quiet spot by the beach, with a protected bay that’s good for kids and lots of great snorkeling. The rooms are simple but clean, with AC. There’s a nice restaurant within walking distance. Wish they had a proper restaurant onsite.
