RedDoorz near East Avenue Medical Center

The bathroom is spacious and has hot water, but the beds are thin foam. The building feels gloomy and the facilities are outdated, so it could use a makeover. I also found a cockroach during my stay. WiFi is available, though the connection gets spotty when it rains.

The bed was clean, and the room was fair, but the atmosphere felt eerie. We didn't get the free bottles of water that were advertised. The second lock was broken and held in place with a metal wire.

We booked a family room but were given a double bed, which didn't suit our needs. The place was dirty and grimy, nothing like the website photos, and it was hard to feel comfortable there. The cleaner was particularly unpleasant, and the staff overall were rude and unhelpful. The booking agent and property management also didn't respond or help with our questions and concerns. It felt as if they only cared about taking the payment. Cleanliness, comfort, and customer service were all far below a reasonable standard. I'd advise looking elsewhere.

The staff were friendly and very accommodating, and the rooms were clean with fresh sheets. I did have to bring my own towel because the ones provided didn't absorb water. My school was exactly 200 steps away, yes, I counted, so the location gets top marks from me. I gave the stay four stars overall.
