Kokotel Cebu Adira

The building was clean, and there’s a water station outside the rooms. The staff were accommodating, and the services and utilities reminded me of hotels in Japan, though the room itself wasn’t Japan-sized. I stayed five nights and found it cozy and really good, with a good location. I heard it’s fairly new. I’d recommend it to anyone staying in Cebu City, and it could be a good option during the busy Sinulog Festival. I had to leave the country, so I couldn’t see or join the festival this time. Maybe next time. See you again, Kokotel. 😜

Breakfast was simple and nice, with a city view. It was semi-buffet style, with fruit, bread, jams, coffee, tea, and fruit drink. The room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioner had a proper sleep mode. The bathroom was clean too, with good water pressure, warm water, and nice toiletries. You could also share your screen with the TV to watch movies.

We stayed at KoKotel from December 22 to 26 and were very happy with the comfortable rooms and friendly, attentive staff. After we got home, my wife realized she’d accidentally left behind a pair of boots I’d bought her for Christmas. The KoKotel team found them quickly and arranged to get them to a courier for shipping. We’re grateful for how much effort and communication they put into getting the boots back to us, even after our stay.

The service was good and the staff were very nice, but our two-person booking in an economy room was a mistake. There’s hardly any room to move, and no natural light or ventilation. For one person staying a night or two it might be okay, but it’s too cramped for two. The price difference to a standard room isn’t much, so I’d choose that instead. The bathroom is tiny, the shower curtain smells bad, and flushing or using the sink sends a terrible odor through the room. It only goes away when the air conditioning is on. The shower divider wasn’t sealed properly to the floor, so the whole bathroom got wet. Also, the photos always show the curtain closed because a sign right outside the window blocks the view. We knew about that from the start, but other guests should know too.
