The room was functional and the bed comfortable enough, though it wasn't like Marriott or Fairfield. It's a solid 2.5/5. Be careful not to confuse this place with the Holiday Inn near Ayala Mall and IT Park, as I did. This hotel is by Ayala Mall Bloc, a very different mall. It's clean but heavily deodorized, and not somewhere I'd bring a significant other. The building is old and needs cosmetic updates and repairs. Some things cost extra, including gym entry, a socket adaptor, extra towels, and early check-in. There's no safe, the towels are old, and the front desk looks disorganized. The pool is used by a local swim team. For the same or less money, there are much better places in better locations.

The rooms and toilets at Holiday Spa Hotel were very clean, and the pool was good. Staff were friendly and approachable, and check-in and check-out times were reasonable. There are plenty of useful places nearby: a laundry service, Cebu country club bus stop, 7-eleven, Coffee bean and tea leaf, and the seafood restaurant Lobster Grill. Ayala mall is less than a 15-minute walk away. A great experience!

Holiday spa hotel is clean and neat, and it's a budget-friendly option. It's convenient too, with easy access to the basilica and malls. If you're after a cheaper, handy place to stay, I can recommend it.

I couldn't sleep well with the air conditioner sounding like an excavator in the room. The sheets had holes, and the toilet and shower weren't cleaned properly. Then at 6am there was an event with extremely loud music at the pool, where most of the rooms are, so sleep was impossible again. I asked to change rooms and was moved to a lower-cost one. Instead of one large bed, it had two beds joined together with a double sheet, and its window faced a wall. They refused to refund the difference in price. Really disappointing, definitely don't go there.
