We signed a six-month agreement starting November 24, 2024, but in the second week of December their agent told us we had to leave by January 14, 2025. They planned to switch from monthly stays to daily rentals for the Sinulog Festival. Nobody explained how the move would work, or whether we’d get only two days to move out. We were given no details at all, and it’s been incredibly stressful. Our move-in and renewal dates are the 24th of every month, which is also Christmas Eve. When we asked to pay only the electricity bill since management was the one breaking the contract, they refused and charged us half a month’s rent instead. The way they’ve handled this shows no regard for tenants’ concerns or professionalism. I’m utterly disgusted.

The WiFi was a little slow, but still manageable. My room was neat and clean, with a very good hot shower, and the people looking after the place were welcoming and helpful. I had a great stay for the price.

Oyo salinas suites threatened to cut off our utilities after two months. We had asked to move the bill date to match payday, but they never made that adjustment. They also didn’t deal with the aircon problem.

The staff weren’t welcoming, and the rules didn’t seem coordinated. After I came back from celebrating my friend’s birthday, someone asked me, “naka check in ka ngare? Sure ka?” What a way to speak to a customer. I won’t recommend this place or return.

We showed up on the date we’d reserved, only to find the suites and building closed. We had to scramble for another hotel. How was it possible to book a room that wasn’t even available?
