I wouldn’t recommend Tower 3. The pool closes at 6 pm, which doesn’t leave much chance to relax there after working all day. The owner offered us keys to a different room, but that one had no washer, and I don’t think moving rooms would have helped since the cockroach problem seemed to affect the whole building. We booked unit 11FL 1141 for one day, hoping to extend for several months if it worked out. By the next day we’d left. Cockroaches were everywhere overnight, including under the bed, in the toilet, and in the washer, and I couldn’t sleep. The bedding was old, stained and covered in lint. The bed was a little uncomfortable and sloped, with the head lower than the feet. Our window looked out onto a cemetery.

The room was roomy and in a central spot, with a water heater, drinking water and Netflix. But over five days there was no cleaning or trash removal, and we only got fresh towels when we asked. Wi-Fi was slow the whole time, and some apps wouldn’t work on it. The bed and one window were defective, and at 1.9 meters the bed was a bit short for someone tall like me. Some nights, loud karaoke from a nearby bar made it hard to sleep. Security staff were slow and didn’t seem hospitable. The pool was closed for an entire morning without any explanation.

The corridors and hallways were clean and well kept, as was the place itself. The location is convenient. When we visited, though, the security staff were also handling the front desk, so they could use more people there.

I had just checked in and stepped into the hallway briefly after bringing my things in when I got locked out. Nobody had told us the door was automatic, and we’d been told there was no spare key. I don’t understand why there wasn’t a duplicate, and I suspect something was wrong with the door, so charging us a maintenance fee just to open it didn’t seem fair. The staff I dealt with were disrespectful, from the front guards to the woman I spoke with by phone. The maintenance worker was rude too, and the room wasn’t clean. A very frustrating experience.

The city view from our unit was beautiful, especially at night, and the beds were comfortable. The room was clean, stylish and had what we needed. The swimming pool and tidy shared areas added to the trip, and the Wi-Fi worked reliably. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. We stayed at The Persimmon Tower 3 from April 27 to 30, 2025, and my family and I had a wonderful time. Its central location made it easy to get to Cebu City attractions, restaurants and shopping, and it was close to transport hubs. The front desk and security staff were courteous and helpful throughout. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, and look forward to coming back. Thanks for making the trip memorable.
