We had a fantastic time at Fernvale. Our room was spotless, and the balcony looked out over a stunning pool area. The pools are huge, sparkling clean, and have plenty of shade during the day. The reception staff were a great help. Highly recommend it if you're visiting Coron.

The pool is really large and mostly empty, so swimming was enjoyable, and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was the worst I've had, especially for the price, so I went out for breakfast from day two and didn't want to try the other food. Staff seemed inattentive and were on their phones a lot. The room was extremely noisy, with everything from the neighboring rooms carrying through. When kids ran in the next room, the bed even started bouncing. The area around the hotel felt like a ghost town.

It's a little outside town, which made for a more peaceful stay and left room for a beautiful pool complex. Getting into town by tricycle was easy, 40 PHP per person, under $1 USD. The rooms were clean and well appointed, and the free breakfast buffet was decent with a good variety. There's also a free airport shuttle, plus island-hopping tours and inexpensive massages you can book through the hotel. Amazing value.

The rooms and pool are amazing for the price. The breakfast selection was a little limited, and the location isn't ideal. We added an extra night and had to switch from a double room for two to a triple for three. If the prices are about the same, for instance because of a Booking.com discount, I'd choose the triple, mainly because the AC doesn't blow straight at you in bed.

Fernvale Resort is tucked inside a private subdivision, which adds to the calm, secluded feel. We had a relaxing stay and it was a lovely quick escape from the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and made us feel at home. A good pick if you want somewhere quiet to unwind.
