When we arrived, reception was empty. We rang the bell but still waited 20 minutes. Once the receptionist appeared, she looked at her phone while we stood there, and we had to get her attention ourselves. The room was in very poor condition. There was barely any water coming from the taps, which I could understand, but the taps themselves were broken and loose. The room had almost no furniture or storage, so we had to put our things on the floor. There were no blinds on the windows, leaving the ground-floor room visible from the street, and the mosquito screens had holes all over. As for cleanliness, I'd rather not get into it. Ask my cockroach friend for details.

Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the location made it easy to get to the city centre. My yellow room was spacious, clean, and well looked after. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay again. I miss the place and the owners too, such lovely souls.

We booked the cheap fan room, and it was the worst room I've ever had, even though I usually choose the cheapest option. It was hotter inside than outside, even with the windows open and the fan on full. There were no outlets, the room looked old and nasty, with cracks in the walls and ants everywhere. I told the manager that a room in that condition and heat shouldn't be sold to guests. She gave us a cash refund despite our booking being through booking.com, which we appreciated.

A budget-friendly place I'd recommend to travelers watching their spending. It's along the bay, near the park and market, and the staff were polite. The room was basic, with no chair. The bathroom was basic too, with no bidet or hot and cold water. There was no Wi-Fi. Thanks for a safe and memorable stay in Coron.
