Crown Malapascua

We’d definitely stay again. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was cleaned every day. Free water refills were a lovely extra. The room was one of the best we’ve stayed in so far in the Philippines: very spacious, with great AC, a good-sized bathroom, a big super-comfy bed, and a beautiful veranda with sunset views. The property is elevated, so you get lovely sea views, and it’s just a short walk from the port. Bars, restaurants, dive shops, and lovely beaches are within walking distance. There’s also a handy Mexican/Nacho restaurant downstairs.

The location is great, up a small hill with good views and within walking distance of everything. We had delicious food at Nacho Mama, and the owner let us check out late since no one else was arriving. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean, with really big, comfortable beds and large, clean bathrooms. They also provide free drinking water. Everything was great, 100% recommended.

We stayed for a week while diving and thought the rooms and service were fantastic for the price. Nick & Jessa were welcoming and kind, answered all our questions, and even helped us figure out transfers home. Jessa texted on our arrival day so she’d be ready to greet us. The staff were cheerful, polite, and helpful, and the restaurant downstairs had great food and service. The rooms were beautiful, pristine, and had a great view, plus a well-stocked mini fridge, free tea and coffee, and a working kettle. The bathroom was spotless, with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided. I’d heard complaints about the water, but after talking with the people we were diving with, it seems to be an island-wide issue: pressure is poor and few, if any, places have completely fresh water. The AC worked perfectly. The music can be loud, as others have mentioned, but we slept through it fine. Light sleepers might want to stay elsewhere on the island. The owners and management were really responsive. Our room was big, clean, and well located. Loved the hotel!
