I spent a week eating here, and they were always so kind and accommodating. I have celiac disease, so I explained what I can’t eat, and they adjusted most dishes to be gluten-free. The local food is fresh, homemade, and tastes amazing. It’s also really good value, with very affordable prices.

We ended up at Mr.Kwiiz spontaneously after our hotel at Malapascua couldn’t find our booking, and they had a room for us. There was air conditioning and a fan, though a little mold in the room is hard to avoid with all the humidity. We were diving a lot and only needed somewhere to sleep, so the walk from the beach was fine. We passed supermarkets and restaurants we could try along the way. The food was very good and the people were super friendly. The pool was out of order, but we didn’t need it. We saw one cockroach and chased it out the door. WiFi only worked in the restaurant area. If you can’t find the place, ask the locals or kids, they can definitely help.

The food was amazing, and the location was good. Huge thanks to Ivy & Nick for being so friendly, salamat karajaw! We arrived as guests and left feeling like family. Totally recommend it.

We only stopped in for a quick meal in the afternoon, but the food surprised us. It was easily the best we ate anywhere on Malapascua. Definitely recommended if you love good food.

I was really unhappy with the stay. The rooms weren’t clean, the prices were high for what we got, and WiFi didn’t even reach the room. There was loud music every night, and roosters screamed constantly. They also do illegal rooster fights next to the homestay, which is really sad. I’d probably choose somewhere else on the island that’s quieter.
