Microtel by Wyndham Davao

Waking up in the middle of the night with something crawling across my chest was the worst part. I brushed it off thinking it was a cockroach, then later found out it was a mouse. We left the room after telling the staff, and could hear several of them yelling as they tried to catch it. They apologized and gave us a few vouchers for a future stay, but those turned out to be unusable. The room itself had plenty of issues: traffic noise at all hours, and anyone could see inside if the blinds were open. The sheets had questionable stains, the shower only got lukewarm, the TV didn’t work, and the food was very salty. I knew the hotel was generally outdated and was ready to overlook some of that because it was “cheap,” but the mouse and the response were unacceptable. As a first-time visitor to the Philippines, this was an unfortunate start to the trip. The 4.3 stars are deceiving, book elsewhere.

The location is handy, within walking distance of SM Lanang and close to Starbucks, McDonalds, 7-11, and other restaurants. Rates are reasonable, and the breakfast buffet is good for the price. Our room was clean and nice, with cool air conditioning, a basic TV, mini fridge, and hot and cold shower. The service was nice too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The location made getting around easy, and the rooms felt comfortable, clean, and well kept, with the familiar Microtel standard that felt like home. We also enjoyed the good variety and quality of the food. Staff were courteous, helpful, and quick to take care of what we needed throughout our stay at Microtel by Wyndham. A reliable, comfortable, hassle-free experience.

The room at Microtel Davao was spacious and clean, and the chiropractic mattress made it really comfortable. Wi-Fi worked reliably, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. Breakfast was simple but satisfying. The place felt safe and quiet, good for working or resting. Damosa Gateway is convenient, with cafés and restaurants nearby and the airport just minutes away. Solid value for money and an easy, stress-free stay in Davao.
