Acacia Hotel Davao

The AC in our first room wasn’t working, but they quickly moved us to a better one. The showers and sinks had hot water and good pressure, and the staff were polite. The place was very clean and comfortable.

I liked being able to walk between two major malls from here, and the WiFi was good. Service was consistently friendly, though with the large property and high guest turnover, it took a while to get someone to my room for fresh linens and similar requests. The man who sits out front selling overpriced bracelets every day is really annoying, and the hotel doesn’t do anything about him.

We keep coming back here when we need to stay near Lanang. It’s cozy, easy to get to, and has enough parking. For two people it’s budget-friendly, though solo stays feel a bit pricey. There’s tasty food right across the way, slightly expensive, but worth it for the flavor.

My friend picks Red Planet whenever she comes to Davao, and from our stays, the rooms have always been tidy and free of unpleasant smells. The bathrooms are spotless, with complimentary soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and every room has its own hairdryer. The staff are kind and helpful, too. It’s conveniently close to SM Lanang, with lots of restaurants and places to eat nearby.
