The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites

I haven’t even stayed there, but the hotel’s failure to update customers about developments so close to my and my companion’s check-in date left me dissatisfied with its professionalism and communication. With the recent earthquakes, I understand the hotel might have to close. Still, they could have posted an update on their social media. I can only imagine how much stress the staff are under, and irresponsible management has probably made it worse. If the hotel can’t take the courtesy to keep customers informed, I doubt the service is up to scratch.

The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites is a reasonably priced choice if you want space and downtown access. It’s in Davao City's Sta. Ana district, and G-Mall of Davao is an easy walk away for an affordable mall visit. For northern destinations like Abreeza Mall Complex and SM Lanang/SMX Davao, expect to travel around 4 kilometers. The style is admittedly dated, but the hotel is functional and well maintained. Rooms are large, the pool and gym are kept in good shape, and the breakfast buffet is generous and balanced, with a good selection. It works well for a comfortable, functional stay, though business or event travelers should keep the distance to the main commercial centers in mind.

Great food, 101%, and great staff. The rooms are premium and affordable too. I had a really relaxing stay in my hometown, Davao City. I’m based in CDO now, but I’ll definitely stay here whenever I’m back in Davao.

The customer service was excellent. Every staff member was kind, accommodating, efficient, and quick to address my concerns. Honestly, they all deserve a raise. The room and amenities looked old and hadn’t been maintained properly. The sheets were a bit itchy. With proper upkeep and maybe a repaint, though, the hotel still has potential.
