Mike S Dauin Dive Resort

We spent 7 nights at Mikes while visiting Dauin, and the staff went above and beyond to make the trip comfortable and enjoyable. The dive guides worked tirelessly to find and point out interesting critters, and we had great macro diving and a wonderful trip to Apo. The food was delicious and very good value, with decent portions. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Dauin.

The fun dives were fantastic, and our guide made sure we found exactly what we hoped to see underwater. The boat crew was helpful and organized, and clearly focused on giving great service. Staff were incredible too, friendly, attentive, and on top of things. They cleaned the room daily, served meals on time, and had unlimited towel use, with fresh towels ready after every dive. Mike, the owner/manager, was around, welcoming, and easy to talk to. There's also a sweet little dog named Oggy wandering around and spreading good vibes. I picked this place on Agoda at random because the price seemed fair and the photos showed a clean dive resort. I was genuinely surprised by how homey it felt. Of all the places I've stayed, it's easily one of the best. A great place to stay and dive, far better than I expected when I clicked “book now.” Highly recommended. 🌊🐾

The food was a real highlight. There were three different ways to cook available from morning through evening. I tried six dishes, and all were delicious. They also helped us with our allergies. Getting into the water was easy and comfortable, and the planning and welcoming approach made it easy to feel comfortable the whole time. That kind of service isn't common. Ace, the dive master, was kind, patient, and helpful, and doing three dives in a day was easy. The resort is close to the sea, with private access to the seaside and private boats. Apo Island's coral bay was better than many other places in the world. There were nudibranches even right by the dive center, and the spots were only a few minutes away by boat.

The food was great, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious with a perfect ocean view, and the whole facility was super clean, not just the room. We had a great time here, a perfect staycation if you visit Dumaguete.
