Chariz Inn

The staff were friendly, but the room cost far too much for what it was. We were bitten by bedbugs, and they even asked us not to brush our teeth in the room. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

This is a decent inn to try if most of the places nearby are already booked. The caretakers’ kids were noisy in the morning and around noon, and the male caretakers drank out front at night. For me, it was a three-star experience.

We stayed three nights, from 05/04/2024 to 05/07/2024. The location is handy, right in the heart of El Nido town and close to shops and restaurants. The lobby looks nice and welcoming, the staff were polite and helpful, and CCTV was in place. Free coffee and water were a nice extra, and the bathroom had been renovated and was clean and modern. The rooms themselves are simply furnished and could use an update. The hotel seemed a little short staffed at times, as we occasionally had to remind them to refill the coffee and water. Room cleaning and towel changes happened every three days, which might not be often enough for everyone. Breakfast was simple, with little variety. The tap water had a noticeable deep well smell, and there wasn’t a trash bin in the room. It’s a decent, comfortable option in a convenient spot, with friendly staff and a secure feel. Just keep in mind the water smell and that you may need to ask for refills.

The area is nice, and the bed was soft and thick. I’m not sure they have hot and cold showers, though. While we were talking in our room, a foreign guest next door banged on the wall, apparently because we sounded noisy. Since he could hear us, the partition may not be soundproof.
