Villa Dali Resort

We only stayed one night at this beautiful resort and wished we’d booked longer. The staff were wonderful and helpful the whole time, and apologized for nearby renovation work. They also gave us complimentary drinks. The facilities were more than adequate, with reliable internet and proper air conditioning. It’s well placed, just 30 metres from the beach, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby for dinner.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and I felt completely safe here. The grounds are so green and pretty. You’re outside town but close to the beach, hostels, and bars, and it’s a cheap ride into town. The staff were amazing, and breakfast was great. Highly recommend!

The room was excellent, with classy decor in a lush garden setting. But the location isn’t great: it’s not on the waterfront, and the nearby beach isn’t suitable for swimming. The closest swimming beach takes 15 minutes over a rough shoreline on foot, or five minutes by tricycle. Downtown restaurants, bars, and activities are ten minutes away by tricycle. There are tall hotels being built on every side of the property, so the garden may end up dwarfed by concrete buildings. As of January 2020, the facility was being remodeled, with a construction zone right outside the door and no facilities of any kind on the grounds.

A nice stay, with lovely rooms and a good breakfast included. It’s a little out of the way from the main area, but a ten-minute tricycle ride sorts that out.
