We stayed here for six nights. The staff were very friendly, the big dog was adorable and I fell in love with it. WiFi was steady enough for us to work every day without trouble, the shared bathroom stayed clean, and there were different board games to play. The humidity in the room was really high. After a day, anything we left on the floor was wet. The main issue, though, was the lack of sound insulation in room 5. We heard a lot from outside, and the receptionist played music loudly during the day, sometimes making it hard for me to take work meetings. They even turned it on at 7 a.m. maybe twice, while most guests were still sleeping. Other guests could also be noisy in the yard early in the morning, so we didn’t sleep well.

The staff are what make this place special. They’re fun to be around and do their best to make your stay a good one. The price policy was welcoming, and having kitchen facilities is a real plus. It’s near the busy parts of General Luna when you want them, but far enough away to get some quiet.

The location worked so well, close to the beach and restaurants, and the WiFi was fast. Our triple room had its own CR and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included, and that brewed coffee was amazing, thank you Ate Mari! The staff were warm and helped us with transport and tours. A perfect island escape, we’d love to come back.

We arrived at 5 AM without booked rooms, and the staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and fit four people well. We got some sleep and parked our bikes behind the hotel. The shared bathrooms were clean, with three showers and two toilets. I’d book here again if I return.

The highlight of my ten weeks at Tres Islas was the people. Reception, kitchen and cleaning staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful, and they put in extra effort to make sure I had a good time. By the end I felt I’d made some good friends, and they even took me to local sights and activities. The hostel sits between Cloud 9 surf spot and General Luna town. Facilities were good and regularly cleaned and maintained. The kitchen had plenty of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. I loved my stay and highly recommend it. I’ll definitely return.
