RedDoorz @ Aparente Gensan - Vaccinated Staff

This is my never again place. We booked three rooms for me and my friends while we were in Gensan for a review, expecting a nice, comfortable stay based on the photos. Instead, none of the problems we raised got fixed, since no staff were available to handle them. The TVs didn't work, the cable wasn't paid for, faucets were broken, heaters didn't work, and the AC couldn't cool the rooms. The shower curtains were filthy and the bedding wasn't clean. If you work online, I strongly suggest you don't stay here. They deliberately turn off the Wi-Fi and say the internet is down, but other networks are visible while theirs isn't. I should've listened to the reviews from two years earlier. I thought things might have improved by now, but it's still the same.

The facilities aren't well maintained, though I still had a nice experience.

The room photos looked lovely, but in person the rooms were untidy, the bedding really dirty, and the toilets disgusting. The woman at reception wasn't friendly. We asked to change rooms because of a cockroach, but she moved us to a room without water for flushing the toilet. A broken light switch also made things dangerous for guests. The place is badly maintained, so avoid booking here. We ended up moving to another hotel at midnight.

We checked in around 9:30 PM and left for another hotel within minutes, so we were there for under 20 minutes, but the staff still charged us the full amount. The place was a big no for us. The gate was locked when we arrived and nobody was in sight, so we waited a few minutes. When a woman finally showed up, she unlocked the gate but didn't open it for us, then went back to her desk. She sounded extremely rude while taking our booking and asking for a 200 peso deposit, like helping us was a bother. She handed over a key and pointed us to a corner room. It was disgusting: stained sheets, a curtain that wouldn't close over the glass window, so people outside could see us, and an outlet that looked pulled from the wall, with a hole behind it where roaches crawled. Beside the bathroom was a glass door to a small box of a room that looked like an old washing room, with a faucet and very dirty tiled floor. It had an opening above that led somewhere, and the door couldn't be locked from inside our room. If that opening led outside, anyone could get in. We asked to move, but the staff member refused and said there were no other rooms. She was extremely rude.
