Room-the B's Crib Saint Dominique

The check-in was smooth and hassle-free, even though we booked at the last minute after a typhoon stopped us from traveling to Guimaras by RORO on the day we arrived. The host was kind and responsive, and the reception and security staff were courteous and helpful. The Airbnb is conveniently close to the mall. The interior felt cozy and presentable, but there was a slight odor when we arrived. The bedding smelled like a mix of perspiration and fabric softener, and the room seemed to have been without much ventilation, leaving a mild musty smell. As a gentle suggestion, using less fabric softener might help since it can hold odors in fabrics, especially where airflow is limited. The kitchen drawers and cabinets smelled a little musty too, and the sink sponges looked worn and could be replaced for hygiene. The toilet and bathroom looked reasonably clean at first, but the faucet, shower head, and shower shelf seemed chalky and needed a more thorough clean. There was mold along the edges as well, which regular deep cleaning with suitable products, such as citric-acid-based cleaners, could likely improve. The amenities seemed quite basic for the room rate, and their quality could be improved to better fit the price.

I was in Iloilo for a short work assignment and booked a unit at St. Dominique through Airbnb. The unit was very clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was spacious. The lobby was clean and roomy too. The security guard and front office staff on duty were very hospitable and helped me with check-in. I had a good stay.

It’s a beautiful place, and you can walk to everything in Megaworld Iloilo. Most of the staff are kind and accommodating.

The staff were warm, which was a relief, but booking through Airbnb was frustrating. The host didn’t respond, and even though our booking was confirmed, we were left waiting five hours to check in.
