The Executive lounge on the ground floor has an old-world feel, and its happy-hour spread was a treat. The sushi, tarts, and other desserts were all spot on. Breakfast was also strong, with delicious salads, Italian sausage, and miso noodles. The restaurant itself looked gorgeous, clean-cut and modern, and the harbour and city skyline views were amazing. The staff were welcoming and hospitable. I’ve always loved Sofitel and have never been disappointed by one, but in my view Admiral Hotel Manila is right up there, and better than a couple of the other hotels I’ve mentioned. My partner and I stayed at Admiral Hotel Manila - MGallery Collection at the end of our holiday. I was surprised it’s classed as a “premium” five-star hotel rather than a “luxury” one, especially since it compares well with Raffles, Fairmont, and Sofitel.

The breakfast staff were so kind and accommodating, and thanks to the egg-station chefs Ronualdo, simoune, carl, and jade. We celebrated my sister’s birthday at admiral for the first time and ate at ruby wong. The ambiance was nice and we loved the food. Thank you to princess of ruby wong.

The hotel’s location was handy, near SM Mall of Asia and Chinatown, with free shuttles to both. The pool itself may not be its best feature, but sitting poolside with a Manila Bay view at sunset was lovely. I also found the Executive Lounge smaller than at other Accor hotels, though its staff were extremely friendly and focused on guests. Breakfast was amazing, with lots to choose from and everything I tried appealing to the senses. The food overall was so good, no surprise they were recognized by Michelin. My room was exceptionally clean, and the staff were attentive and proactive, with a very high level of hospitality. Admiral Hotel was an amazing stay, one of the best Accor hotels I’ve tried in the Philippines.

The rooftop bar has great views and drinks, and the restaurant food was delicious. The hotel’s Art Deco look pairs well with modern comfort, and the location is hard to beat. My spacious, clean room had a great view, a comfortable bed, and high-quality bathroom amenities. Staff were attentive and went above and beyond for a special occasion. A fantastic pick for business or leisure.
