Baywatch Tower

We eventually left and found somewhere else. After arriving with my extended family for a July stay, it became clear this place wasn't worth it. The rooms had no hot water, and the drains barely worked. Toilets leaked, and one was blocked too, leaving suspicious puddles on the bathroom floor. A nurse in our group was worried the conditions could make us seriously ill. The staff were relatively nice at times, but requests were repeatedly met with “call the owner,” including when the internet stopped working. It was very slow when available, and we later found out our room's prepaid allowance had run out. Staff seemed unsure what to do and often discussed things among themselves before acting. The air conditioners were filthy and the remotes didn't work properly. The lobby smelled strongly of cat urine, and the sofas were wet when we returned after a night out, possibly from a leaky ceiling. Cats also seemed to defecate around the lobby. It took more than 30 minutes to get into the apartment because we had only two keys for three locks. They had to dismantle the third lock, the door handle, and it stayed that way, so locking up brought the same problem back. The elevators were slow, and their doors closed after a couple of seconds, sometimes before everyone could get in. That was annoying for most of us and felt dangerous for the elderly. Items on the veranda got blown around during rainy season, and some looked large enough to break through the glass panels in strong winds. I worried about the relatives staying in that room. It felt like they did just enough to keep the Airbnb running, without much care for guests' comfort. Spend a little extra somewhere else. Don't go there.

There was a lovely view of the bay, and plenty of good food nearby. The location is convenient for restaurants, and it's not far from the convention center or other hotels. Security staff helped us with our bags and gave directions. We hoped to swim in the beautiful seventh-floor pool, but the water was too cold.

The building seemed old, though our room was nice. We felt safe and at ease, and the guards outside were friendly and helpful. The pool was amazing, with a view over manila Bay. Taking a dip at sunset was especially nice. There's also a small gym on the same floor.

Pascal was kind, helpful, and really good to us. We stayed in a clean studio with a sea view, and the air conditioning worked wonderfully. The view over the city and manila bay was beautiful. We'll definitely come back. Thanks again, yay.
