Subic Holiday Villas

The swimming pool is regularly maintained, and the place is neat and bright. Still, it’s old and needs a lot of revamping. The beds are old, the doors use traditional keys, and some rooms are obviously non-functional. It can’t offer the comfort and convenience other places already provide.

The building itself is lovely, and compared with other lodging options in PI, this place is pretty decent if you don’t expect too much. But the rooms aren’t well kept, they’re dusty and don’t feel fresh. We had the same problem with toilet paper refills that we’ve had throughout our stays in PI. You have to walk quite a way to the front desk to ask for more. The restaurant beside the pool wasn’t very good, but it was convenient, so we ate there once. The front desk can call a taxi for you. There’s no Uber in the area, so taxis are the way to get around.

There’s lots of space inside and outside the buildings, and plenty of fresh air. Subic Holidays Villas sits a little away from the main thoroughfares, which makes it a good getaway from busy city life. The studio rooms are just wide enough to move around in, and the service staff are nice. They’re less techie than other hotels, but everything works well. The receptionist said to request room makeup, though they still did it without notice when we left them the key. The menu is limited, and I don’t know the room rate yet. I haven’t had a dip in the crystal clear pool in the middle of the villas either.

Trees all around make this holiday villa feel close to nature, and it’s near Royal duty free shop and gasoline stations. Our room had all the amenities, including a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave oven, bathtub, and hot water. The swimming pool was clean too, with a depth of about 3 feet for kids and 5-6 feet for adults.
