The Aurora Subic Hotel Managed by HII

The infinity pool was a hit with our kids, and a nice spot to cool off and unwind in the afternoon. Our room was modern, clean, and laid out comfortably, so it was easy to relax after being out in Subic. The amenities covered what we needed for a short family stay, including dependable air conditioning and handy in-room features. A comfortable, practical place for families.

For what we paid, this was a really disappointing four-day stay. Our room never got cleaned. When we asked housekeeping about it, they said they couldn't do it because there were too many check-outs. That's not an acceptable explanation and left me concerned about their housekeeping practices. The towels were worn out and felt like rugs, even though the hotel is fairly new. We asked for replacement bath mats, but staff said none were available. The restaurant food was also below standard, and the housekeeping staff came across as untrained and unprofessional. We should've chosen a more decent hotel for that price. I can't recommend this place.

I was impressed by the laundry service. My clothes came back clean and neatly folded. The desk and restaurant staff were consistently kind and helpful, too. I've been here for two weeks and have had a great stay. The room is a nice size, though it has no drawers for clothes, so I have to use the shelves. There's plenty of shopping, restaurants, and nightlife within walking distance. I'd definitely stay again.

The next morning we woke earlier than we wanted on a Sunday because we could hear the people in the room beside us talking so clearly. The walls seem too thin for privacy. I called reception, but the phone wasn't working properly and the receptionist said my voice kept cutting out. We could even hear water from the other room's bathroom. We came for a 3D2N stay to celebrate our son's birthday and Valentine's Day. Before checking in, we asked them to arrange a small surprise and they confirmed a banner and cake in our room. We expected our son to find it when we walked in, but there was nothing there. When we asked, they brought the cake a couple of minutes later. So where was the surprise? They even sent a confirmation email.
