Arzo Hotel Manila

The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, and the service was the best I’ve had in Manila. The reception area was very decent, and the rooms are large. It’s an affordable gem with a swimming pool, clean and comfortable, and worthwhile for what you pay. One drawback: there’s no bar fridge in the room. Also, if you book a queen deluxe on the third floor, the WiFi barely reaches and there’s no extender. I had one bar and used 5g. You may not have a WiFi issue if you stay closer to reception, depending on what you need.

The service was great and the stay was honestly good. I just didn’t like the unexpected 2000 pesos security deposit. I budget my trips and don’t like surprises, especially when neither the hotel nor the website told me I’d need to pay one to stay after I’d already paid for the room.

The cleaning staff were great and friendly, but the front desk was unaccommodating and the service was slow and barely responsive. Our room looked old, and the air conditioning was weak and noisy. A connecting door to the next room was locked, and a very foul smell came from it. I asked reception if we could move rooms, but they didn’t even try to apologize. They said their manager was staying in the room next to us. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

This has become my favorite place to stay after many visits. The staff are the main reason I like it so much, and the rooms are large and nice. The value is unbeatable, and the location is good for the things I usually do here.
