The Gallery was a lovely place to stay, with thoughtful design inside and out. The owner and staff were very accommodating. Just be prepared for the rough road leading there, and avoid bringing a low-profile car.

I liked the interior and the concept, but getting there is tricky. The road is so narrow that only one car can pass at a time, making it effectively one-way. Lowered cars and wide vehicles, like big SUVs, aren't a good fit.

The house feels peaceful, with its high ceilings and lots of windows letting in plenty of light. It has a rustic yet modern style, nicely furnished rooms, and a good collection of books. One room even has a quirky water closet with disco ball lights, which was quite a sight. The drive in takes some nerve because you have to go down a narrow street that fits just one vehicle. Once you're there, though, the quiet setting makes the trip feel worthwhile.
