The Doll House was a highlight for me. It has hundreds of cute dolls, and there are lovely spots around the place for photos too. There are two pools, one for adults with a small diving area and another for kids, so it works well for a family swim. The staff were kind, and I enjoyed the food. The entrance price is affordable, with discounts for seniors and people with disabilities if you bring your ID. You can't bring your own food inside unless you pay for it.

The rooms still have comfortable beds, and the place itself feels cozy. The food was good, though nothing special. Still, the rooms have a musty smell, and many fixtures need repair or renovation. The landscaping also needs attention and upkeep. It seems to have only a small core staff, with trainees added during busy seasons. There's a colorful history and a heartwarming story here, but it could use more investors, a makeover, and fresh marketing. Even the website looks old.

The included breakfast was good, and the service there was good too. We rented a family suite that looked nice, but the cooling only reached the bedroom. The coffee maker and lamps didn't work, and at least one bed had no sheets. WiFi was only available in the office.

I only stopped by for the day and didn't stay overnight. There isn't a lot to do, though enough to make a short visit worthwhile. I liked the oceanfront patio, and there was also a western-style house filled with Christmas decorations.

The entrance fee can be used toward food or items inside, so I thought it was good value. The place is beautiful, though it used to feel even more amazing. They had a butterfly garden, different kinds of fish in the aquarium, and ice cream outside in past years. It's sad those things aren't there now.
