The place gave us a nice break from Manila’s busy pace, and I really enjoyed my visit. There’s a tropical feel from all the coconut and palm trees, and the sidewalks make it pleasant to walk around. The guards are friendly and gentle, while the staff are respectful and professional. Security feels very high, and the concierge is open 24/7. There are three elevators, pools, a tennis court, karaoke bar, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby or on site. The malls are nine minutes away, and laundry is available for a fee. It’s also pet friendly.

I rarely leave a bad review, but this place earned one. Guests can’t use around 70% of the facilities because they’re reserved for permanent residents, even though we’re paying guests. The rules are ridiculous too: apparently you can’t lie down near the pool, and if you check out early to help the room cleaners, you can’t enter the pool area afterward even though you paid for it. The security guards were rude and officious, and seemed to enjoy ordering guests around. I’ve renamed the place GULAG AZURE. Don’t bother.

My sister was on the guest list, but when she arrived at the building on October 25 to take my fiance’s place in the unit, she wasn’t allowed to wait in the lobby. The guard and receptionist sent her outside to stand in the sun and didn’t clearly explain what verification was needed. I understand guest checks, but they could have given her proper guidance politely. I was upset by how she was treated, and a little kindness and clear communication would have made a big difference. My fiance and I had been staying at the Boracay Tower in Azure Urban Residences from October 20 to 27, and until this incident our stay had been fine. I hope management looks into it and trains staff to treat guests and visitors with more respect and courtesy.

The building itself is wonderful, but be careful who you book with. My booking with host Rinalyn Andal was a nightmare: there were hidden fees, the instructions weren’t communicated properly, and my security deposit was never returned. Looking at other low reviews, it seems others had the same experience booking with him. Make sure you check that you aren’t booking with Rinalyn Andal, and choose someone honest and helpful.

The extra 1,000 PHP charged on top of my Agoda payment was bad enough. The person kept saying Agoda takes 40%, told us not to use Agoda next time, and urged us to book directly with him to avoid extra charges. He was rude and repeated the same point over and over. We were also left waiting on the road when we arrived because security at the gate wanted a QR code that nobody had told us about. We had to contact the host, and that very unprofessional person finally sent it. Why not send it before we got there? I booked Stay@Azure Urban Beach Residents (Manila) through Agoda for 16-17 September 2025, and it was honestly the worst resort experience I’ve had in the Philippines. Guests should be treated respectfully, not blamed for using Agoda or made to wait outside. Avoid this place. There are many better resorts in Manila, and this one was a waste of money and patience.
