Sequoia Hotel Manila Bay

I’d never come across hotel rules like this before, and it seemed very weird. Although I’d fully paid online for my two-night booking, reception asked me for a deposit equal to two days’ room rate. They said a credit card deposit refund would take 15 to 30 days.

The location is a real plus, close enough to walk to Ayala mall, City of Dreams, and plenty of other places, and you can also get here via the LRT station. The rooms are cleaned with care 😊. They throw away used toothbrushes and slippers, which seems wasteful for the hotel, especially since the slippers were good quality. If you're staying longer, I'd skip breakfast because there are lots of restaurants nearby.

Free parking with roomy spaces, reasonable rates, and really friendly, helpful staff made this a pleasant stay. The hotel is handy for the mall, a convenience store, and the airport. We were short on pesos after paying for our rooms by credit card, and the staff kindly let me leave a dollar deposit for security instead. I appreciated that. We spent a few nights here in February. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the restaurant food was delicious, and the sheets smelled fresh in our clean room. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were provided too. The room my wife and I shared was next to the elevator, so there was some noise. My brother and cousin had quieter rooms with a nice view. Kudos to the manager and the whole team!

This is my usual place when I want somewhere that feels like home away from home. The rooms are tidy and clean, and the service is awesome.
