Ibis Styles Manila Araneta City

The view was perfect, and I loved the bathroom details. The rooms are beautiful inside, the amenities are nice, and the bed is huge and comfortable. We also appreciated that the hotel wasn't too crowded. Everyone was kind and accommodating, the facilities were excellent, and getting around from the location was easy. Honestly, one of the best hotels we've stayed in. We'll be back, and next time we'll bring our family.

The location worked perfectly for us, with a direct connection to Gateway, and the price was excellent. Our two rooms were spacious and clean, with basic amenities including slippers, and the wifi was great. They also managed to put the rooms next to each other as we requested. One issue: the bathroom floors didn't slope enough, so water tended to pool after a shower. The Thrilla in Manila decorations were a fun touch, especially knowing the match took place at Araneta Coliseum. I'd happily stay again if I'm in the area.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and they let us check in as early as 12 noon since a room was available. The amenities were good too. Its spot in Araneta City, connected to Gateway Mall, makes it really convenient for events or concerts at Smart Araneta Coliseum and New Frontier Theater. Public transit like the MRT and LRT is easy to reach. One of the best hotels in town.

The bread was the bright spot at breakfast. The mini croissants and pain au chocolat were flaky and buttery, and I liked the hot chocolate and salad section too. The juice tasted like overly sweet sugar water, though. We stayed two days, and both times the breakfast dishes were swimming in oil. Fried items should be drained, and the adobo and beef pares could use less oil. The beds were comfortable and the service was good. There was also a toilet drainage smell that drifted into the room. I can't say if it affects every room or just ours, but it could be a health hazard.
