The pool area could use more chairs. There were only a few, and some guests had to put their belongings on the floor. There was also an unpleasant smell at the far end of the pool, so we stayed nearer the entrance when swimming. We celebrated New Year 2026 here with my family, and it was a very pleasant stay. The front desk accommodated our 12 PM early check-in, explaining that the hotel was fully booked and they wanted to avoid a crowded lobby during the usual 2 PM check-in. We were first given a room on the 6th floor, then moved to the 15th after I asked for a higher floor. The city view was lovely, and we could watch lots of fireworks from our window at New Year, which made the stay memorable. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were attentive to my senior citizen mother's requests. Even with those small suggestions, this budget hotel exceeded our expectations, and I'd highly recommend it.

I stayed Dec16-19, and while the location is great, cleanliness and upkeep were poor. Room817 wasn't properly cleaned, and its coffee mugs were chipped and cracked. The light switch and tissue holder were broken, so I had to move to Room 1119. There, the safe didn't work and the light switch was broken too, though it still functioned. I asked the front desk every day to fix things during my three-night stay, but nothing was done. I even spoke to the manager on duty twice. It was a hassle having to take all my valuables with me whenever I left the hotel. When I asked for an extra pillow, I was told it would cost 50per day.

The check-out was especially unpleasant because reception refused my request for bottled water when I was due to leave within an hour. The manager didn't help and stuck to the policy, which I thought was crap and left a bad impression. Red Hotel Cubao in the Philippines was a big disappointment. The room was dated, with old linen, and the facilities clearly need refurbishment. I understand that supplies and facilities may not all be brand new, but basic service shouldn't be compromised. I wouldn't recommend staying here. There are better options.

I checked in at 3:20 pm, but my room wasn't ready. Susan, who I presume is the GM, apologized and let me have a late check-out to make up for it. I'd choose the executive suite: it's roomier, with swivel chairs and a table, a bigger T&B, and it doesn't feel cramped. The towels were old and no longer looked white, and the hot water wasn't hot enough. Still, would I stay again? Definitely. The hotel's in an area surrounded by love hotels, but it's convenient, just a couple of blocks from Gateway Mall 2 and Araneta Center. There's a 7/11 on the ground floor, with several eateries and coffee shops nearby. To reach the rooms, take one elevator to the 5th-floor concierge, then another upstairs.

My first stay here went really well. The room was clean, and I liked the hallway's look. The bathroom was spacious and clean too. Breakfast buffet was good, and the price was okay.
