RedDoorz @ Lawaan Roxas City

I checked in very late for a short stay. The inn is within walking distance of Ceres Terminal garage, but reception and the rooms are up two floors. Water pressure was low, and I had to ask for towels. The hot shower worked at night but not in the morning. They don’t serve breakfast, and there’s an 11 pm curfew, probably because there’s no security guard.

I stayed in a twin room. It was nice, but the amenities fell short: there was no Reddoorz hygiene kit, and the Wi-Fi was disappointing. The staff were polite, though they need training on handling clients who booked through the Reddoorz App. It was a fairly enjoyable stay.

The bed and sheets were clean. But even though it was advertised as Reddoorz, the room didn't meet the usual Reddoorz setup. We booked for two adults and got just one towel, with no shampoo, soap, or tissue. They also have a curfew after 11pm, which I haven't encountered at another hotel. I'd suggest choosing a different Reddoorz in Roxas City.

We had booked two rooms a month ahead for November 28, since my wife, my in-laws, and I had an early flight the next morning. At check-in, they said only one room was available. One front desk worker laughed and announced that they had just one room; another suggested we squeeze all four of us onto a double bed, which wasn't possible. They blamed Expedia and their computer system, but didn't offer a workable solution. We asked for a refund and were told Expedia had to handle it. The staff said they'd help us contact them, but after more than an hour they still hadn't managed to. We called ourselves, and Expedia couldn't reach the hotel because the number they had was out of service. When we asked for a direct landline, we were given a cellphone number that couldn't be reached either. Someone eventually called us back from a nearby Reddoorz, but the phone died within seconds of the conversation starting. We left because nothing was getting resolved and the staff weren't willing to communicate or accommodate us. The rooms looked small, too. They're on the third floor, up two flights of stairs, and no one offered to help with our luggage. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
