Hotel Maiya

I've stayed here three times since 2023. The rooms are good, the staff are accommodating, and the free breakfast is very tasty. It's also easy to get around on foot, with transport, restaurants, 24-hour groceries, a pharmacy, bus terminals, and other places a short walk away.

Very affordable, with friendly, accommodating staff and good service. It feels like a five-star hotel.

The location is easy to reach, and the room was nice and clean. Mine had a good view since it faced the church, and the price was fair at 1850. The cabinets smelled unpleasant, though, there were only a few sockets, and the complimentary breakfast at 7am was too late for me.

The cathedral is right across from this three-storey hotel, with the public market and city government offices easy to reach on foot. There are plenty of nearby places to eat, like McDonald's, Jollibee, and Chow King. The rooms are a decent size and very clean, and breakfast comes with the room. There's also an in-house cafe open from 8-8 pm if you'd rather stay in. Most of all, the staff were attentive, helpful, and accommodating. Kudos to Donna at the front desk.
