We couldn't get online because the Wi-Fi was too far from our room. The apartment itself was really nice and cozy, though, and the room was clean. It had a TV, aircon, water heater, refrigerator, microwave oven, water dispenser, and free utensils.

The room is good value for the money, and it's not the worst place to stay, but I definitely can't recommend it to western tourists or expats until several things are fixed. The shower pressure is so weak, probably under 1L/min, that it's hard to wash properly. The hot water heater doesn't work at all, and the AC is underpowered for the room and climate. At full power, it barely holds 25°C on a typical 34°C day. The windows have mosquito screens, but they're broken loose from the frames, so I've had to keep the windows shut the whole time. The outlets only have two pins and no earth pin, which means the room's microwave can't be used because its plug has three pins. The Wi-Fi doesn't reach into the room either, so I can only use it outside. Staff need to put a repeater in the hallway. If you need internet during your stay, get a Smart SIM card at the airport with unlimited data. It should cost around 2000php ($55AUD) for 1 month. Globe doesn't work well here, Smart is the better choice. Smart 4G/5G runs around 100mbps, depending on the time of day.

There's nothing within 500 meters, and the alley leading here is dark and muddy. The Wi-Fi and signal were poor.

It feels like a clean, domestic kind of AirBnB. I felt right at home. 😊
